The National Basketball Association, created by Walter Brown, the Boston Gardens owner, realized that Ice hockey arenas were always vacant, so he decided to host basketball games, and that’s how the NBA started.

The 2021-2022 NBA season was a thriller. Still, in the end, the Golden State Warriors ended on top and won the championship against the underdog Boston Celtics.

Finals MVP Steph Curry had something to say on playing in the 2022-2023 season; “I’m not afraid of what’s next, but the invisibility – the fact that when you’re in your actual prime, you’re not thinking anything else – now I have a healthy balance of both.” Curry thinks he can play for at least four more years.

In the offseason, some significant trades, including star players like Donovan Mitchell joining the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rudy Gobert joining the Minnesota Timberwolves, both former Utah Jazz players.

Also, Miami heat star P.J. Tucker was a free agent in this recent offseason and joined the Philadelphia 76ers, playing alongside MVP contender Joel Embiid.
Everyone expects the Golden State Warriors to make it to the finals again. Still, I think the Dallas Mavericks will pull through. All-star Luka Doncic was excellent last season and can only improve. I believe he will lead the Mavs to a ring.

The NBA pre-season started a few weeks ago. Here are the teams with the best records: The Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Philadelphia 76ers. The pre-season is just for coaches to try out new lineups and give rookies a chance to play, and the regular season could be different than the pre-season or the same.

My favorite team, the Miami Heat, has a 4-1 record in the pre-season thus far. My prediction for them in the regular season and postseason is to make it to the third round of the playoffs (the eastern conference finals) but, eventually, lose to a great team like the Boston Celtics as they did in the 2021 season.
The past few NBA seasons have been super exciting to watch, and I even have the chance to go to a few games. I expect this upcoming season to be the most thrilling and fun.
2019, 1st-round pick Zion Williamson had a terrible injury last season that caused him not to be able to play; Zion had something to say about his journey to get back. “It’s been a lot. I can sit here and explain it, but nobody will be able to feel it the way I did. My foot was broken, and I couldn’t magically heal it. It hurts because I love the game of basketball.” Zion has been training and doing his best to get back on the court daily.

The first game of the 2022-2023 NBA season is on Tuesday, October 18, and I’m sure everyone’s very excited about it.
