No storage this, no storage that, the owner and I need to have a little chat!
“IPhone storage is full”, why does this message constantly pop up?
Customers spend loads of money on this product and there is never any space on the phone. If you’re an iPhone user, you’ve likely encountered the dreadful “Storage Almost Full” message at some point. This can be very frustrating, especially when you’re trying to take a picture, download an app, or even update your phone. But why does this happen so often?
iPhones often run out of storage because of high-quality pictures, 4k videos, and large apps that take up tons of space. Also, your files and data can add up over time, leading to you having to free up some space in your phone.
Depending on the model, iPhones come with a fixed amount of storage. Unlike some Android phones, iPhones don’t support expandable microSD cards, so you’re stuck with the storage capacity you originally purchased. If you need storage, you’re allowed to purchase more in your settings.
But what can you do to manage your iPhone’s storage more effectively?
To manage your iPhone’s storage more effectively, you can use iCloud Photos to store them in the cloud, regularly remove apps you don’t use, and delete old texts and attachments.
“Even then if you do use iCloud, it only frees up a little bit of space. Meaning that in just a couple minutes that same message will pop up again,” says Amoya Gray, senior.
Apple would persistently promote purchasing more storage, but in a few weeks, you will be back in the same spot. Instead of fixing this issue, they come out with new products and new versions of phones. “You will spend more money buying storage than what your phone is actually worth. So just stop buying storage and save your money for a new phone that will likely have more storage says, DaShana Gray
According to Na’Tasha Clarke, “Being an iPhone user has its perks. However, for someone who adores memories, having the space available at all times without having to delete or remove apps, pictures, or text to capture a moment is quite frustrating.”
The other option is to incur a monthly fee by purchasing storage space.
The flaw with that is if you miss or stop paying you won’t have access to the pictures that were taken while on the plan. IPhone security and safety are a plus, as well as many other features. On the other hand, it depends on that particular individual and what’s more valuable for them with the use of an iPhone.
