Going back to school is always difficult, but especially after a long break like this. This article will discuss different perspectives on how students feel about going back to school.
“Waking up this morning was pretty difficult as my sleep schedule was drastically affected due to the break. Said Jaden Torres, a tired senior. Stress and anxiety started kicking in after I woke up and I wasn’t looking forward to coming back.”
Single handedly just getting out of bed was not easy for most, but there are more problems that need attention. We have three weeks with not a single day off of school, three straight weeks of school.
“Thanksgiving break should be longer! I dreaded waking up for school after that long break. Said King Thompson, a sophomore.
Back to school, the sad reality. Here comes the heavy workload. It gets bad especially near the end of 2nd quarter and the start of 3rd quarter, the work really does pile up if you’re not on top of it.
“The end of the second quarter brings midterm week, which is the worst week of my life every single year. And studying for them really does make me stressed.” Said Manor, a junior. “Third quarter brings the harder half of the year. I am not looking forward to it.”
Hearing different perspectives on this topic is very interesting, but the view no one talks about is how school is actually good for us; gives us something to do, and we can socialize with our friends, instead of staying at home all day and playing Fortnite.
“I feel like the work is over-bearing considering we just came off a 5 day break. I am tired and I want to go home.” Said Gianna Ierubino, a freshman.
