Super Bowl Sunday is on February 11th, and the Chiefs face the 49ers, who will win? Only time will tell.
The Chiefs have been the underdog since the start of the playoffs, first beating the Dolphins, who were slight favorites, then the Buffalo Bills who were favored by 2.5 points, then the Baltimore Ravens, who were the best team in the NFL and favored by 4 points.
So in each match-up, Kansas City was projected to lose. They triumphed all the way to the Super Bowl.
On the other hand, San Francisco was projected to win each of their matchups. The 49ers had the bye week, for winning the NFC, then they played the Green Bay Packers in the divisional, then the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship, and finally they will play the Chiefs in less than two weeks.
“I wanted the Ravens and Lions to make the Super Bowl, but with my luck neither of them won their games. Personally, I want the 49ers to take home the championship because I like Brock Purdy as a player and would rather see a trophy in his hand than Taylor Swift’s. Both teams deserve to win, they played great seasons and have won previous Super Bowls before. Though, I say again LET’S GO 49ERS!.” Says Manor Pniel, a huge football fan and a junior at Coral Glades High.
Of course, the Chiefs are underdogs again, and the 49ers are favorites to win Super Bowl 58, but don’t count out Patrick Mahomes, we’ve all seen what he’s capable of.
Super Bowl XLVIII will surely be a hit, as the NFL has gained something like 300 million dollars of revenue since Taylor Swift started dating Travis Kelce, which is a topic that could have its own article. But the outcome of the teams playing is what the majority didn’t want to happen.
“I would like the Chiefs to win mostly because I just do not like the 49ERS to win, I was hoping that Lamar Jackson would save us but it looks like we will have a Taylor Swift Super Bowl.” Said Elijah Cambell, a Coral Glades student.
