The Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles tonight at 8:15 pm. It will be the second game of the 2024-2025 season, held at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.
It will also be the first International game of the 2024-2025 season.
The Green Bay Packers are coming off a 9-8 record last season and losing to the San Francisco 49ers 24-21 in the Divisional round of the playoffs last year. Up-and-coming star, rookie QB Jordan Love had a great improvement season last year with a 64.2% passing completion rate, a career-high 4,159 passing yards, and a career-high 32 touchdowns. They also got a great running back to help their offense, Josh Jacobs. Josh Jacobs who had 233 carries, 805 rushing yards, 6 touchdowns, and 37 receiving yards, Josh Jacobs can be a great key factor and elite weapon to help the Green Bay Packers have a great season and win the NFC North Division. Another elite factor for the Packers is Christian Watson. Christian Watson is coming off a great season with 28 receiving yards, 422 yards, and 5 touchdowns.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles had a great offseason by acquiring one of if not the best running back in the league, Saquon Barkley. Saquon Barkley had a great but short season due to an injury but had a great season having 247 attempts, 962 rushing yards, and 6 touchdowns on the season with 41 receiving yards. Saquon is really going to help the Philadelphia Eagles succeed and have a chance to win the Super Bowl. Their star QB Jalen Hurts, who had a tremendous season who had a passing completion rate of 65.4%, a career-high 3,858 passing yards, and a career-high 23 touchdowns. This gives Jalen Hurts an extra weapon on offense aside from A.J. Brown and Devonte Smith.
With both of these teams having a good offseason looking to take over this new season, this game could go either ways. The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-29. It was a great game with fans from The United States and Brazil. Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers had a good game with 260 passing yards but Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles topped Jordan Love with 278 passing yards and the win.
Natalia Lopez says, “The game was good to watch. I thought it was cool how they played in Brazil; also how the teams couldn’t wear green because it was Brazil’s opposing team but the Packers did not care and wore green while the Eagles wore black.”
