The first season of the NBA2k25 is coming to an end and the second season is around the corner. The game came out on September 6, 2024, and there have been a total of 8 events, with the biggest event being Basketball Gods. Basketball Gods was a 3v3 event where the team with the most wins straight after a set time of 12 hours will win unlimited boost and basketball panel. At the moment, the number one player from season 1 is xCashout who is the highest rep being Veteran 5 and has a total of over 4000 games played this season.
Charlotte Lanzi, junior says “I bought my boyfriend Konnor Cappiello NBA2k25 for our one- month anniversary, and he says it was a great gift. He plays it all the time and he loves how realistic the gameplay is to real-life basketball. After the first season alone, it already had a large sum of 800k customers who have bought the game. With the lowest price of the game being 60 dollars; that is a total of 48,000,00 dollars profit, not even counting the premium game which is 100 dollars.
This year has been a really good 2k for a while, since 2k21. The new animations they have added and the gameplay and the different features are awesome, bringing back the rep system, the limited edition store is cool, the affiliations, and the rep and season rewards for gaining rep and XP for season rewards. Many people finally enjoy playing 2k, even if it is just MyCareer. Since they brought back the old rep system of rookie to legend there had been an increase of people playing the game. One major thing they added this year in season one is cross-play which is new to 2k it allows PS5 players and XBOX players to play with one another.
Currently, on October 11th, 2024, the highflyer event is happening. The event is at the old park from NBA2k15, the event is double rep and 2s and 3s only. The event is a fan favorite since the difficulty is on rookie and everyone still has the chance to do good and have fun.
Carter Brooks, senior says, “This first season on NBA2k25 has been a great experience it has been everything that I expected the only problem I have though is that lag on the servers it is a little bit delayed and slow, I think if they fix this problem just off the first season NBA2k25 can maybe be the best game of the year.”
Since season one is coming to an end the 2k community is very satisfied with how the game is so far and are looking forward to any new surprises that may happen in the upcoming season.
