When election season began, President Joe Biden was running for reelection against former President Donald Trump. That is until the 2nd debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. In summary, the Democratic Party hated it so much, they decided to replace him.
So by essentially forcing him to step down, the DNC immediately chose Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement who would run for President against Donald Trump. However, this didn’t mean Biden wasn’t done with the election just yet, since he was no longer running.
Biden would go on to support the Harris Presidential campaign, along with former President Barack Obama, and even Jill Biden. What was surprising, was the reaction President Joe Biden has had to the Kamala Harris campaign.
Here’s essentially what happened: once the Biden campaign ended, a lot of members joined with the Harris team, but to their peers in the Biden team, it feels like a betrayal of loyalty. It mainly comes from the fact that she essentially performed a coup d’etat upon Biden to gain the admiration of the DNC without another Democratic Party election for nomination.
So, according to MSN, 73% of Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, which means the Harris campaign has done everything in their power to separate themselves from the Biden administration’s current policies.
However, recently. A Fox News reporter asked Joe Biden, during a Question and Answering session in the White House, what role Vice President Kamala Harris has been playing during all the crises that have been currently happening (like hurricanes Helene and Milton).
Joe Biden was quoted as saying “Well, she’s, I’m in constant contact with her. She’s aware we all, we’re singing from the same song sheet. We, she helped pass all the laws that are being employed now. Now, she was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of legislation which we were told we could never pass. And so she’s been, and her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing.”
This is not exactly what Harris wants as the disliking of “Bidenomics” is widespread among the American public, but Biden has recently come out and said Harris will be, according to AP News on October 16th, 2024, that “Kamala will take the country in her own direction, and that’s one of the most important differences in this election. Kamala’s perspective on our problems will be fresh and new. Donald Trump’s perspective is old and failed and quite frankly, thoroughly totally dishonest.”
As always, people on the ground have to have their say, Sammuel Rojas in the 11th grade had said “Kamala and Biden are of the same party, how can they be fighting at the end of the election.” And Juan Llovet in the 11th grade “Maybe the democrats shouldn’t be arguing among themselves and actually making policies favorable to the US.”
In conclusion, Kamala hasn’t commented on this as her administration has carefully been tiptoeing around the comments Biden has made, the only thing that’s left is that the White House has denied that their staff members are quarreling.
