In an era where teamwork is so neglected, or taken advantage of, it is essential to establish the fundamentals of teamwork. Teamwork started as the means of cooperation and the willingness of cooperation from others.
However, in our modern society, people are taken advantage of rather easily. With the rise of technology, neglect has not been any easier.
Those who care are given the short end of the stick and are forced to work on their own, while others are given credit for their work. Injustice from people who don’t care comes from intimidation and “caringness.”
“Caringness” of others is when others use people to get their goal. For example, if someone treats another in a caring way, they are more often to use them for their own personal gain.
The other being intimidation, is used as a means of manipulating others to, yet again, get what they want. Both signs are means of manipulating the human state to get what one wants emotionally without care of others.
As a result of neglect and genuine care of others, people become paranoid and closed off. Those who are not emotionally strong are often crushed by the weak and brought down to their level.
These people appear as the toxins of the world as they become far more polluted. Cooperation is a choice and shouldn’t be taken advantage of. To care is to provide and to share is to give to others who could not get somewhere on their own.
Teamwork, likewise, is a choice that requires faith from all. People can get hurt easily if not given the proper time, care, and dedication. Everyone must take a leap of faith and decide to live in fear or to support others.
If done properly, the leap shall be reciprocated. While small, it provides faith, hope, and slowly but surely, progress onto the world. If all were to do so, the number of fake friends and group mates would decrease.
Everyone has a choice, to help or harm. If helped, people spread kindness among the world, one step at a time. If not, they only deal damage to a world already so hurt.
While small, faith can go and come a long way. In fact, students share their stories of cooperation of help or harm.
“I mean, everyone should work on it equally. If you’re taking advantage of someone in the group, then you’re basically putting all the work on someone.” Natalia Porras, a freshman, says about a neutral standby of cooperation opposing taking advantage.
“Everyone is treated equally. We’re all people and this is America, we’re all human beings. This is the Earth planet, period.” Chloe Martinez, a sophomore, says about her national perspective on cooperation and mistreatment of teamwork.
Faith is something that is decided by the people. People can always hurt, some will, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Stay strong and protect one’s self, but no one deserves to fear a helping or betraying hand. What matters is that they take faith today, otherwise, faith will be gone tomorrow.
