Whether it would be seasonal, celebration, or resting for an hour, rests and breaks are essential for the use of the mind. However, breaks may do more harm if not taken with proper balance.
Breaks are a natural state of mind, an area people must achieve. Breaks can make those stressed, sad, or exhausted into more relaxed and eventually focused.
However, if there is too much time for a break, the brain loses concentration and focus. This causes the brain to be inactive over several months of time, leaving the brain without a task. When without a goal, the brain becomes dominant and lacks any reason to focus.
In comparison, too much time spent focusing can do more harm than good. Using the mind without a reason for use or overuse causes burnout and builds up stress.
As a result, it is essential to maintain a balance between focus and relaxation. A balance should be maintained, a balance so crucial can make or break the mind.
This may be maintained through a few techniques. One, understand there is a time and place for everything. Having time sent or put for a specific point in the day will allow for better use of the mind.
For example, a mindset best used for work must use focus. If one may relax, they will not use their best potential. As well as focusing when relaxing leads to harm and poor use of the mind. Having time spent focusing or relaxing on a certain part of the day may lead to more concentration and control of the mind.
Two, learn to organize the mind. Having a mind knowing on how to organize and break down parts of the day may make it easier to concentrate.
Three, do not be so hard on one or another. Being too hard about what one may or may not do causes drifts between those one may care about. By not being hard, you may gain a clear mind and be able to concentrate and relax without putting it in mind.
Breaks can create a brighter future as they avoid overworking and issues such as burnout. Having time to one’s self is essential as everyone deserves personal time to recover.
However, it’s still of note that breaks may do more harm than good if the mind is not focused with a task at hand. Balance is hard to maintain as challenges race to all, making it hard to stay afloat. Those who struggle with academics and teach academics share their thoughts on school, as well as their personal lifestyle to maintain such a balance.
“AICE and AP class depending on the teacher can be harder or easier, service hours are easier to manage, to balance out.” – Noble Nelson, a sophomore, says on his experience with educational management and balance.
“I just do my assignments on time, that I study, I put time on myself so I don’t freak out.” “Serenity Buchanan, a sophomore, says on her perspective of balance of her life and school.
A balance must be made, too much or too little leads to the destruction of one’s self. Relaxing and focusing may be difficult, but can be completed into something more. So, everyone has a chance and opportunity, all they have to do is use it.
