Recently President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, in a wide-sweeping blanket pardon. This mainly comes after his son, Hunter, was convicted of gun charges this year in June federal tax charges in September, false taxes, and stuff like that.

This also comes after President Biden promised to not pardon his son before he left office. The entirety of Washington D.C. is in uproar after this, especially among the Democratic camp.

Thanks to their loss in the November Presidential election, it notes that because a Democratic President has done this, now it gives justification to the Republican camp and specifically the upcoming Trump administration to turn the tables.

If anything, Trump can use the Pardoning and Justice system to target specific friends and opponents to gain an upper hand upon the Democrats, something they fear immensely after the massive amounts of charges given to Trump after his election loss in 2020.

So what does this mean for the political standing of everyone in government? Essentially, now everything is fair game and even ground is something you do not want in politics. Since Republicans have won the House, Senate, and the Presidency, it’s safe to say, Democrats are worried now.

Full pardons to the enemies of the Democrats will lose them a lot of political ground as they can’t target people who are political threats to a great effect now, while the Republicans can. This is bad news for the DNC and they are hoping to do damage control as they have run based on “Nobody is above the law.

In any sense, this is merely the beginning as experts believe Biden will continue in pardons as most presidents do at the end of their terms, according to NBC. So Biden will probably perform more politically divisive pardons, much to the dismay of the Democratic Party.

Now, Trump may come in and pardon people, like the January 6th participants, a lot of them are in jail. But Trump also has an ace up his sleeve which the Democrats fear the most. His new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kash Patel.

This man is a Trump loyalist and someone likely to begin a massive offensive of charges against pro-Democrat and anti-Trump people to take down the Democrat’s political power. This is something the Democrats have no real defense against.

As always, in getting information, the people on the ground commented on the situation. Faizaan Noor said, “Yeah, well I heard about that and I think that he is doing it to save his son from the justice department.” Along with Byran Huang who said, “He did that cause of not want to get into trouble with the law.”

In conclusion, the entire political establishment is completely upset with Biden, as people from across the aisle believe he put his family before justice, undoing the entirety of Democratic messaging for the better half of 8 years, and painting a massive target on their backs for Donald Trump to shoot at.
