Kyler Theophile, a 6’5 180 lb. junior, is a Starter on Coral Glades Basketball Varsity Team. Kyler is currently a captain for the Jags. He is leading the team to a 6-3 record on the season. This season, Kyler has been a driving force getting to the basket with ease. His athleticism, shooting, and court vision make him a tough opponent for opposing teams. He can score from inside and outside the paint, making him a valuable asset to his team. Kyler’s dedication to getting better is just as impressive as his skills on the court. He works hard to improve himself, whether it’s through extra practice times, watching film, or getting advice from coaches and teammates.

As a captain, Kyler has taken on a role with his teammates. He sets a good example by attending practice early and staying late to improve his game. His positive attitude and energy help boost the team’s morale. With Kyler leading the way, the Coral Glades Jaguars are expected to have a successful season. His leadership, skills, and dedication make him a valuable asset to the team. As the season progresses, fans can expect to see Kyler continue to excel and lead his team to win after win.

Kyler averages the most points, assists, rebounds, and steals on the team so far this season. He averages 13.9 points, 4.4 assists, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game. I asked Kyler how he feels about his play through the first 9 games of the season and this is what he had to say, “Leading this team is an honor. We are a great team and we still have room for improvement. We are getting better day by day so we can make a run for states.

Kyler spent his freshman season at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He went on to Elite Academy for his sophomore year which is also in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While Kyler was there he averaged 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and
0.8 steals per game. He helped them go 13-11 on the season. He has made a great improvement in his game from his freshman and sophomore season. One thing Kyler told me is his want of a state championship and he believes this year’s team can get it done.

Kyler Theophile is a great leader and player for the Coral Glades Jaguars. His skills, hard work, and dedication have helped the team do well this season. He leads by example and works hard to improve. Kyler wants to win a state championship, and his leadership will help the team reach that goal.
