The person I picked for this jag brag is Ms. Lachance if you don’t know Ms. Lachance, she’s the librarian there at Coral Glades High School. You may be wondering why I would pick her out of all people to brag about, well that’s because she’s overlooked. No one understands the hard work she puts in day in and day out. Have you been to the library and seen that it was a mess? No, you haven’t. That’s because she works hard to make sure we students have a clean place to study, hang out with friends, and have a warm place to stay warm from the cold. Without her hard work, we wouldn’t have any of that.
Not only does Ms. Lachance ensure that we have a safe and clean place to hang out, but she also makes sure we have fun games and full access to computers, and printers. She’s also coming up with cool games you can play during lunch, she has a new theme for each day of the week. She even designs posters to go with her game days. These exact things are often overlooked but I appreciate all the hard work she puts in to ensure that we have a fun lunch. Even if you don’t have anyone to sit with you can also go to the library and feel welcomed. I asked Ms.. why she goes out of her way to do these kinds of things and this is what she had to say. I do these different things because she likes to do fun things around the library to get students to read for fun.
A little bit about my Ms. Lachance is that she has been a librarian for over 20 years. She has been working there at Coral Glades for two and she loves it so far. I asked her what’s one thing she would like to add to the library in the coming school year and her response was, “I want to add more books to the library so students can have more books to choose from.” She even has her book club called “Baddie of the Books” They meet every Wednesday after school, you should check it out.
After talking with Ms. Lachance I can tell that she loves her job and really cares for the students there at Coral Glades. The next time you see her you should tell her how much you appreciate her hard work.
