Junior Jacob Hines says, “Cooper is one of my many close friends and I am proud to say I have seen a big change over the years from a young age he did not care about a lot of things but since he has gotten older he has matured he cares about school a lot more which I’m happy to see. I would say everyone should be friends with Cooper Yellin he is a tall ginger so he isn’t hard to miss, if you see him in the halls try and be his friend is my advice’’.
He is in NHS, NTHS, and DECA, and is an active person in his community having over 100 service hours. During his free time, he plays pickleball and fishes. He took five AICE classes during his sophomore year and passed all of them. He is only one class away from earning his AICE diploma and on track for the Bright Futures Scholarship that pays for college.
According to senior Carter Brooks, “Cooper is one of the funniest, smartest people I know and I’m so lucky to know and be friends with Cooper. I met Cooper in middle school through some friends and at first did not like him but he grew on me with his charm and caring personality. I later found out we worked at the same restaurant where I do, then found out how infectious he can be. He works hard and does what he can to support other coworkers through helping with coverage or side work.”
Cooper first started volleyball in middle school and quickly caught on. While school was his priority, his friends and team were always second, being an influential figure in many people’s lives. He has hopes of earning a scholarship through volleyball but is inspired to attend the University of Florida, he does not know what his career will be but he still has his whole Senior year to find out if he stays on the track he is on right now it looks like he will have a bright future down the line.
