Your seniors will soon be leaving us and moving on to bigger and better things in life. So it’s time that they reflect on all that has happened during their four years here, all of the good times and situations that forced them to grow as people and students.
High school is a great experience that many people take for granted. They spend their days wishing that graduation would come faster and they never have to see this place again, but when the last day rolls around, they are never prepared, never ready, and much less excited than they once were to leave this school.
It’s important that we take the time to look back and reflect on everything that has happened here.
As they do this we asked, what would you change if you could go back through high school, what is one thing you would tell someone who is struggling right now, and what is your favorite piece of advice that you’ve gotten?
Here are some of our senior’s answers:
What would you change if you could go back?
Abigail Forsyth- “I would be more outgoing, I would definitely make more memories with my friends.”
Lilly Zuniga – “I would have been more involved with clubs from the start.”
Brianna Brown – “I would have taken different classes, and made more memories.”
What is one thing you would tell someone who is struggling right now?
Alexandra Munson – “It gets better, just hang on and it will get better.”
Gianna Cupo – “High school has been an amazing time, trust the process.”
Now, along with our seniors, we have some reflecting to do from the freshman as well. We asked the freshmen what the best piece of advice they’ve received from a senior was and here are the responses.
What is your favorite piece of advice that you’ve received?
Miranda Infante – “ Be organized and trust yourself fully.”
Gianna Gonzalez – “Take the hard classes that will set you up for your career.”
Daniella Concepcion – “Be confident in everything that you do.”
No matter what grade you are in, what state of mind you are in, and where you are in your academic career, there is always something to look forward to. There will always be a friend, a teacher, a staff member, a coach, someone to help you through high school. Through both the good and the bad, the happy and the sad.
Overall, it is clear that even though everyone comes from different walks of life we are all part of the same school, the same family. We must keep this in mind when we go about our days during our shared time here at Coral Glade High School.
