This is one of the busiest times of the year for many reasons. Not only are spring sports reaching their climaxes, but the testing season is about to begin. With the difficult AICE and AP classes gearing up for exams and other classes preparing for EOCs and finals, it’s stressful and overwhelming for everyone.
Janet Chung, a freshman taking AP Human Geography, AICE Gen Paper, and Thinking Skills, told me, “I am getting extremely overwhelmed with the testing season, with studying for all my exams on top of my normal classwork.”
Janet is also the vice president of the class of 2028
With this being said, going to and participating in school club fundraisers, socials, and events is ever so important.
Tuesday evening the class of 2028 held a Chipotle social. This is a popular chain amongst many south Floridians. Whether it be for the chips and dips or for their burrito bowls, there’s something for everyone to love about Chipotle.
NTHS is wrapping up the final week of their Papa John’s pizza card fundraiser. Papa John’s is another popular food chain here, it is known for its incredible flavors and support of many schools. The cards are good for 50% off the entire order. This lasts for 18 uses or 1 year, whichever comes first.
Camilla Livielli, freshman is a part of NTHS, she is taking AICE Gen paper and Geometry, “I love NTHS, they have a bunch of super fun projects that really make me feel great about what i’m doing for the community, and because I feel good about what i’m doing it’s a great way to relax with the testing season coming up.”
Along with these two clubs, there are many others joining the fundraising circle in the upcoming weeks.
JROTC is having its snack sales. They have a variety of snacks for very reasonable prices. Helping feed the hungry students in between classes and such with delicious snacks.
Continuing, the Spanish Honor Society is selling chocolates. These decadent pieces of candy are melt-in-your-mouth amazing and deserve attention!
Key Club’s teacher appreciation supplies drive will be beginning in the upcoming days so make sure that you help out your teachers by donating to the thoughtful cause!
To top it all off, Coral Glades Athletics is starting its Double Good fundraiser on Thursday of this week. This means that all of our amazing sports players have an opportunity to continue to raise more for our glorious school athletics programs. Make sure to help out our athletes by purchasing a bag of great popcorn online. Double Good is known for its gourmet popcorn and amazing flavor. White Cheddar and Caramel have got to be two of the top sellers!
Overall, no matter how busy we get in life it’s important to take a step back and remember that life will go on no matter what happens today, so support your school social culture, by donating, purchasing, or participating in club fundraisers, socials, and events.
