As we walked in, we were greeted by their staff with a warm welcome. They guided us through their menu, which had a variety of options. Not too much to the point where you are stuck looking at it for hours. The place was very clean with tables full of utensils, napkins, and sauces. It was mostly self-service, so we ordered our food at the register, chose where to sit, and waited for our food to be served. The staff were very attentive and helpful when we asked for help. After we ordered, it took almost 10 to 15 minutes for our food to arrive, which was very quick for the amount of food we ordered.
We tried several items, starting with the chicken soup dumplings. These were a highlight, featuring a flavorful broth and tender chicken filling encased in a chewy dough. My sister mentioned to me how it tasted even better if I added the additional chili oil. As she excitedly said, “Add the chili oil to it, it’s really good”. The fried chicken dumplings were also a good option, offering a satisfying crispiness and juicy chicken inside.
We also tried the seafood udon soup and the hot and spicy beef dip. The udon soup was decent, nothing too serious. The beef dip, while interesting, had an off taste. And my sister and I agreed that it tasted as if we were eating an actual cow, “I’m not a fan of this, it tastes weird”.
On the beverage side, the boba tea was a refreshing addition to the meal, with a creamy sweetness and chewy tapioca pearls. For dessert, we enjoyed the custard dumplings, which were a standout. The warm, creamy custard filling provided a satisfying end to the meal.
Overall, Dumpling King is a worthwhile option for those seeking dumplings in Coral Springs. While a couple of dishes didn’t fully meet our expectations, the quality of the dumplings and the enjoyable dessert made for a positive dining experience. If you’re in the neighborhood and have a craving for dumplings, Dumpling King is worth considering.
