We’ll kick off Spirit Week and treat ourselves to seven days of fun, creativity, and school pride when October 6th rolls around. Coming hotfooting out of nowhere, this year’s schedule is stacked with amazing themes and activities that will bring us all together and give a glimpse into what our school is all about.
Well-known as Culture Day, October 6th is a day of celebration of the melting pot of cultures that make our school so unique, and now’s your time to shine. Dig out your traditional clothing, spin a yarn about your heritage, and let the colors of the world’s cultures light up our school. It’s a fantastic opportunity to appreciate, learn, and bond with fellow students.
October 7th is Iconic Duo Day, where you can grab a friend, and dress up as your ultimate duo. Famous movies, TV shows, books, or real life couples are all fair game. You could get creative, coordinate your outfits, take a pose, and knock out your fellow classmates. The duo that stands out the most will be the one everyone remembers. This is your opportunity to get creative and have some fun. Coordinate your outfits, strike a pose, and show off your teamwork. “I’m excited to dress up as your duo day because my duo and I already have our outfit planned.” said Bernard Wright, senior. Who will be the most recognizable and creative duo?
October 8th is Neon Day, the brighter, the better. We’re talking neon shirts, neon leggings, accessories, and anything else that glows under the lights. Let’s light up the school with a kaleidoscope of colors.
October 9th, we’re firing up the school spirit with a pep rally to show off our class colors. Don’t forget to bring two cans of food or pasta along to help our local community! It’s a great way to give back while showing off your school spirit!.
Finally, we cap the week off with an entry into fantasy on Disney Day, October 10th. Dress up as your favorite Disney character and let your imagination run wild. “I’m super excited for Disney day because I’m going to wear a giant Mickey Mouse costume.”, said Keerveen B, senior. If you’re a princess, an evil villain, or that omnipresent sidekick, this is the time for you to bring Disney magic to school.
As if that weren’t enough, the week concludes with the Homecoming Dance on October 11th from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Westin Fort Lauderdale. Dance the night away! What a wonderful way to celebrate our school spirit, make memories that will last a lifetime, and party with friends. So, lace up your dancing shoes and be prepared for a night to remember!.
Spirit Week is not just a list of theme days; it’s a chance for us to come together as a school community, celebrate our diversity, and be proud. So let’s make this year’s Spirit Week the best one ever! Get involved, participate in the activities, and let your school spirit
