In the last World Cup, the winner was Argentina, everybody supported Messi, and the team too, because it was going be his last World Cup and he deserved to win the cup.

Six teams will automatically qualify and a seventh will reach the six-team inter-confederation playoff tournament.

Some countries that already played were: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, etc.

Many people don’t even like watching football, they enjoy watching the World Cup because their countries play. So far the country with the most points is Brazil, it’s a really good team.

So let’s take some opinions to students at Coral Glades High School:

Nicolas Gomez, 12th grade says ā€œIā€™m so excited for the World Cup, I want to see my country play. I’m not sure if we will be able to pass the playoffs but I still like to support my country and have faith that it will happen. But if that doesn’t happen, I would like Croatia to win.ā€.

“I don’t usually watch football, it is kind of boring for me, but in the world cup I enjoy watching, when my country plays it’s exciting for me and I always support them. If Venezuela doesn’t pass, I would like Argentina to win again. My best friends are from there so always I’m going to support Argentina.” says Maria Vega, 12th grade.

The World Cup has not started yet but many people are excited and since now it will be in a country where many people travel, tourism will increase, people will come from many parts of the world, and especially here because some games are played in Miami.
