The+Start+of+Your+Post+High+School+Journey%3A+What+to+Expect%3F

Hello seniors and all high school students who are worried about what comes next. Preparing for what comes after high school may be a stressful time for everyone. For example, you may be wondering things like, how different will college be? Or, is the ‘real world’ really as hard as most adults say it is? Don’t worry because this article will efficiently provide you with all the details on what you can expect after graduation.

College

If you plan on attending college, just know that the environment is completely different. In college, the expectations for your work will increase. Once you first start, you may feel overwhelmed but you will eventually get the hang of it.

“College was very hard to grasp in the beginning but I did like the freedom of it,” said former high schooler, Gregory Carrecia.

Another thing about college is that it gives you much more freedom than you do in high school. “They treat us more like adults because that’s what we are,” Gregory continues.

Many students have expressed their feelings about moving away from home and beginning their journey in life. For the most part, students feel scared when the thought of moving out comes to mind.

“Leaving my house and not seeing my family when I wake up each day is going to be so sad.. I wish they could come with me.” Senior, Rebecca Welsh says. Growing up and moving on with your life is super frightening but it’s nothing to worry about. This is a very important stage in your life and you will get used to it as time goes on.

Your career life

A career is something that you will be doing for the rest of your life after you finish school. Whether that’s after high school or college, your career must be something you enjoy. Once you get to this point, life will move smoothly. If you choose a career that isn’t in your best interest, it might be frustrating.

“I love working with kids so my job is pretty easy for me.” Former high schooler, Giuliana Marcisak says.

Finding that one call that makes you happy will be a breath of fresh air. You will get to wake up each morning and be able to work at a job that makes you smile. Liking your chosen career will make life much easier. Who wants to be miserable every day??

Final affirmations

Life after high school might look frightening. Living away from home and not being able to see your family every day is what makes things seem this way but you have nothing to worry about.

As the weeks go by, you will strive and adjust to your newfound adventure outside of high school. The road will be bumpy at times but trust me, you will get through it.
