In 2023, the hit Swedish Netflix original, Young Royals was renewed for a third and final season. Fans all over the world are excited but also sad because their favorite show is coming to an end.

The plot
Season 2 ended with Willhelm admitting that it was him in the leaked video with Simon, signifying that he is willing to risk everything, even his royal status, to be with Simon. Season 3 will be the final season and will focus on the aftermath of his confession.
For another quick recap, a very intimate video of Willhelm and Simon was leaked to the whole school and soon made it to the press who recognized Prince Willhelm almost instantly. This caused Willhelm to be torn about if he should save his royal status or to salvage his romance with Simon.
Ultimately he chose Simon over everything and they will deal with the consequences that come along with that.

Young Royals is a Netflix original and it’s going to be split into two parts, but don’t worry because you won’t have to wait long for the second part. The first 5 episodes will be released on March 11th while the 6th and final episode will be released a week later on March 18th.
March 18th will definitely be a sad day for the fans and many have expressed their feelings about the bittersweet ending.

On February 7th, the official trailer was released. It shows clips of Willhelm and Simon and their struggle with having a public relationship.
It also shows clips of other characters such as Sara and Felice who are caught up with their own storylines. August is also a character that is shown as still his mischievous self, planning on destroying Willhelm and his chance of taking over as king.
Overall, season 3 looks like it will be full of emotions. Both happy and sad. It is hopeful that this series will conclude with a perfect ending for all of the characters.
