Do you like to cook? Are you a fan of watching others cook and enjoying the process? Do you aspire to be Gordan Ramsey in the future? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you deserve to be in the Culinary Arts class.

The Culinary Arts class, run by Chef Alan Lazar, is a class where students can show off their culinary skills. They can learn how to cook various meats, cater in restaurants, sharpen a knife, and more. It is a fun and interactive class that can open the door to many new opportunities in the future for you, but only if you join.

In the culinary classroom, located in room 342, there is a big, professional kitchen, filled with different tools and ingredients that you need to make whatever you want. They have multiple mini burners for group projects and one large oven for mass cooking. They also have blenders, mixers, and even coffee makers.

Culinary has three different levels: Culinary 1, Culinary 2, and Culinary 3. There used to be a fourth level to the class, but the old teacher resigned, and they had to bring it down to three. If you do want to take culinary for all four high school years, you can join the culinary club, and that way, you can have access to even more perks. You can spend more time learning with the chef and can cook things that would take way longer than the amount of time you have in class.

I asked Chef Lazar what his favorite part of the culinary class was, and this is what he said. He said, “The students are the best part. They are going to have great careers in the future.” I think the students are one of the best parts of the class, and I am not just saying that because I am one of them.

The students of the culinary class are a great batch of kids. They are the next Gordon Ramsays and Jamie Olivers. They always pay attention to the rules and will always try to create the best product possible. If you tried the food that the students were creating, you would think it came out of a Michelin Star restaurant.

11th grader Cash Mrazovich gave his opinion on the best part of the class, and he said, “I like when we cook good food.” The culinary class cooks food almost once a week, and when we do, it is the best part of the class. Can not complain about free food!

If you like what you see, then you should give the class a chance. You might not like it at first, but it will grow on you. Go show your skills to the class; eventually, you can show your abilities to the world.
