The year 2025 has been one heck of a time, and it’s starting to come to an end. This year, we saw numerous trends emerge, and some of them will undoubtedly change our lives forever. Here are some of the top trends of 2025.

In my opinion, this year has brought about significant changes in the way people approach life, whether it’s in the new clothes they wear, working on their physical and mental well-being, or how we’re starting to change how we go about school. 

Fashion is something that will always change throughout the years, but this year, instead of evolving into a new style, fashion went in the opposite direction.

Our favorite content creators and role models began to bring back clothing and style that were used in the 90s and 2000s era, and make it look good. Multiple brands have begun to pick up on the trend and started selling more clothes that stand out and have more of an oversized/bold look.

 Another trend that has been popping up is learning about self-care and self-love. Multiple creators are teaching people how to take care of themselves physically and mentally. Stuff like making TikTok ads to convince you to buy more vitamins, finding ways to get you healthy. 

Creators are also putting out hygiene tips, and viewers are looking into them. People are actually starting to look into this stuff, and it’s really nice to see that people are taking notice of self-respect.

Honestly, I believe that the biggest trend of 2025 is the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is beginning to get extremely well, and people are benefiting a lot from it. People often use AI for ideas, school work, and content. Speaking as a high school student, I believe that AI might be one of the best things that has happened because of how much weight it takes off of one’s shoulders.

People are making apps such as Chat GPT, Question AI, and Gauth AI, and they have really taken off this year. Even social media apps have taken notice, and some have added AI options to their apps. 

We asked Junior Kayla Kater, What was your favorite trend of 2025 and why? She responded with “My favorite trend of 2025 was in the first few months of the year when the ‘Italian brainrot’ terms were trending. This is my favorite trend because it allows people to be creative when they create videos, and also is something everyone can understand and join in on.”

We also asked junior Niani Morales the same question, and she responded with “ My favorite major trend of 2025 was how big AI got because it helps me a lot with my school work.”

2025 was a great year, and more trends will continue to inspire us and change the way we think.
