Alaska Airlines Plane Malfunction

Alaska+Airlines+Plane+Malfunction

The incident involving the door that flew off an Alaska Airlines plane occurred during a flight from Portland, Oregon to Ontario, California when a door plug covering an unused exit door blew off, resulting in rapid decompression. The NTSB, FAA, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Airline Pilots Association, and Association of Flight Attendants are all involved in the investigation

The missing door plug was found in the backyard of a schoolteacher near Portland. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) considers this discovery essential to the investigation, as it could provide crucial information about the cause of the blowout

Gabii Alvarado Senior, Said. ” I’m someone who loves to travel. I’ve been all around the world, So I have spent a good part of my life in the Airplane. So when I heard the news of a door being flying out, I couldn’t believe it. It really makes you question if the air company really cares about the safety of customers because something like this sound has  never happened.’

The FAA has grounded the type of Boeing 737 Max 9s involved in the incident until safety is assured, impacting about 171 aircraft worldwide. Alaska Airlines temporarily grounded its entire 737-9 MAX fleet, canceling numerous flights to conduct inspections, impacting thousands of passengers.

United Airlines also found loose hardware on some of its Boeing 737 Max 9s, resulting in cancellations As part of the investigation, the NTSB has asked for pictures and videos of the incident from witnesses

The incident has prompted renewed attention to safety measures and potential design issues with the aircraft, but the NTSB assured that they do not suspect an overall design problem with the plane at this time The loss of the cockpit voice recorder data and the repeated

Pressurization alerts before the incident raise further questions about the safety and maintenance of the 737 Max 9 aircraft.

Ryan Callahan Senior, Said “Ever since I was little, I have never liked planes there has always been something about them that  has always scared me, But  After hearing what happened, the idea of being on a plane has me even more scared.”

This incident underscores the critical role of safety and maintenance in the airline industry, and it serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to enhance aviation safety and prevent such occurrences.
