2023 Halloween Horror Nights has new things in store 

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights is an annual Halloween-themed event at Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, Singapore, and Japan. 

The longest running & most successful part of the event is right up North in Orlando, Florida.  

It began as Universal Studios Fright Nights in 1991 as a 3-night event at Universal Studios Florida.   

Next year, it was re-branded as Halloween Horror Nights, as it was advertised as the “second annual event”. Since then, it has evolved into a scary event filled with themed haunted houses, scare zones & shows that run over the course of select nights.  

Inspiring offshoots at other Universal Studios locations across the globe. 

The 2023 Halloween horror nights haunted houses include and are not limited to Stranger Things, The Exorcist, and The Last of Us, not counting the other seven that are held there.  

“The horror was amazing, and they just get better every single year. I was scared, but also appreciative of everything that went into it.” 

“You could tell that the actors and producers of each house put their hearts into it. says Isabella Dominguez, a Senior, who talked about going this past weekend. 

There also happens to be exhilarating rides and attractions at the event.   

Another great thing people always look forward to when heading to the ‘happiest place on Earth’ is the great food they always have. 

Halloween Horror Nights also includes Halloween and Autumn foods including things like ‘bloody snowballs or sour apple pie funnel fries. 

There is always something new and exciting going on there!  

Everyone normally gets hyped for these kinds of things since it brings the falling spirit out of everyone. Sometimes, just like Universal and Disney nowadays, it is harder to get in.  

On the official website it even gives you tips on when the best time to go is. 

“Come in September, since October is the most popular month for the event. Wherever you go, plan to get here at least an hour before the event starts so there is less traffic driving over and less of a wait to park and pass through security.” 

They have many tips and tricks on there, including how to get in quickest, all the guidelines, and accessibility for disabled people.  

Halloween Horror Nights is a great way to start your fall season off, especially going with friends or even participating alone will make you all more in the mood to start lighting that pumpkin candle again!
