The New Kung Fu Panda

The beloved Po is finally making a return to the Kung Fu world. Kung Fu Panda 4 is going to be released on March 8, 2024, after several years and has a budget of $85 million. The previous Kung Fu Panda movies and their release dates were: Kung Fu Panda (2008), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), and Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016). There is also a Christmas special called Kung Fu Panda Holiday released in 2010, but it is only 25 minutes long.

IMDb gives the description of the movie, “After Po is tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, he needs to find and train a new Dragon Warrior, while a wicked sorceress plans to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm.”

“I grew up on movies like Kung Fu Panda, and it’s really cool that they’re making another one,” says freshman Ariana Desouza. “It’s really popular and I love it so much, I’m so so excited for Kung Fu Panda 4 to come out and I hope it makes me feel like a kid again.”

The new movie is directed by Mike Mitchell who also directed Trolls, The LEGO Movie 1 and 2, and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie: Sponge Out of Water. On top of that, the famous Hans Zimmer has made the music for the movie alongside Steve Mazzaro. Hans Zimmer is famous for his music in movies such as The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Gladiator, Inception, and many more well-known films. And obviously, the famous actor and comedian Jack Black will be doing the voice of Po.

Kung Fu Panda is fantastic and I love all the movies that Po…I think that’s his name… is featured in. I think the first one is the best one for sure. Said Noah Rosen, a junior at Coral Glades High School.  “I love the series totally so much, some of my favorite movies ever!”

The current rating for the unreleased movie by critics is 7.1/10 on IMDb and 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.
